Questions about your Larrun Shortail

From what age and up to what age can my child ride in the back?

The Shortail is designed to accommodate a child from 3-4 years old up to approximately 12 years old, depending on their height and weight. The platform with a backrest is suitable for this age range, offering an ergonomic and secure seating position. For younger children (under 3 years old), optional compatible baby seats are available. Beyond 12 years old, depending on their build, your child can start riding a classic bicycle alongside you. Tip: try it out in-store to check the fit with your child!

Is a 90 km range realistic for daily family use?

Exactly! The advertised 90 km corresponds to real-world use (moderate assistance, urban terrain, with load). For school-to-home commutes (2-5 km round trip), you only need to recharge once or twice a week. If you're going up a lot of hills or riding with maximum assistance, the range will decrease slightly. The advantage: the battery is removable, so you can charge a second one at home or at work for long weekends. For 90% of family trips, one charge is more than enough.

Is it really simpler than a car for short trips?

Yes, and frankly, it's faster! In the city, the Shortail helps you avoid traffic jams, impossible-to-find parking spaces, and "pointless" trips become quality family time. No fuel to buy, no car insurance, no costly revisions. The cost per kilometer is 10 times lower than a car. The Shortail truly changes lives.

Where to charge the battery and for how long?

The battery can be removed in two easy steps and recharged anywhere there's an electrical outlet: at home, at the office, at grandparents' house, or at a friend's place. Full charging time: approximately 4-5 hours with a standard charger.

Can I try a Shortail before buying?

Absolutely! Free trials are available by appointment with our partner retailers.

Can I use it in winter/in the rain?

Absolutely. The Longtail is IP65 waterproof (battery, motor, electronics protected). The hydraulic brakes work in the rain. Tip: rinse the belt regularly in winter.
